Jeffrey R. Lewis, President and CEO

Jeffrey Lewis has spent his professional life working in both the public and private sectors as a healthcare leader.  Currently, he serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Health Endowment (LHE).

Linda Stuhmer, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Linda Stuhmer was appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of EMC Health on August 1, 2014.  Prior to that appointment, she served as the Vice President and General Counsel for the Emanuel Medical Center, a Senior Vice President and COO for the EMC Health Foundation, a senior attorney with Medicis (independent specialty pharmaceutical company), and Assistant General Counsel for Agouron/Pfizer. 

With almost 30 years of experience in representing businesses and non-profits, her wealth of knowledge helps guide the operations of the EMC Health Foundation.

Lawrence P. Anderson, director

Lawrence Anderson spent more than 40 years working for numerous global financial institutions. He held senior management positions in sales, marketing, investment management, research, and administration, and his client base included large multi-national banks, investment managers, and endowments funds. Before retiring in 2018, Lawrence served as EVP of Finance for Covenant Ministries of Benevolence (CMB). At CMB, he was responsible for the investments of the operating, endowment and pension reserves.

David Dwight, chairman of board

David Dwight began working with Covenant Retirement Communities in 1980. He served in various capacities, including Campus Administrator and Vice President of Operations, before becoming President of Covenant Ministries of Benevolence in 2002. David retired in 2017 and is enjoying his retirement days. He has served on several nonprofit boards related to CMB, including Swedish Covenant Hospital, Covenant Retirement Communities, and Emanuel Medical Center.

Separately, David served as a board member of the Axelson Center for Non-Profit Management, The Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation, and the Covenant Harbor Camp Foundation. He received his BA from North Park University, an MSW from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from Loyola University.

Carrie Janiski, DO, director

Dr. Carrie Janiski is the Director of Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Romeo Medical Clinic in Turlock, CA. She specializes in Sports Medicine, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Occupational Health and Family Medicine. She is the head Sports Medicine physician for Golden Valley Health Centers. Dr. Carrie is the head team physician for California State University Stanislaus and John H Pitman High School. 

Dr. Janiski is a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) through the Baptiste Institute and teaches at Warrior Yoga Turlock. She enjoys integrating medicine and wellness to help others move toward their own personal experiences of growth and health.

Tom Wilson, MD, director

A board-certified family physician, Dr. Tom Wilson cofounded Family Medical Group in Turlock in 1981. He served two terms as Emanuel Medical Center’s chief of staff and 16 years on the hospital’s Board of Directors. Dr. Wilson held clinical faculty appointments with the UC Davis and USC School of Medicine family practice programs and currently works in local hospital emergency rooms. His interests include emergency care, cardiovascular risk reduction, and sports medicine. He is married with four adult children and five grandchildren.

Kevin Vogt, director

Kevin Vogt joined Hilmar Cheese Company in 2002, where he held the positions of Corporate Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and most recently, Vice President/General Manager of Whey. For seven years in this position, Kevin managed both the international and domestic protein and lactose businesses for Hilmar Ingredients. Kevin recently retired in 2019 and is enjoying international mission work. Kevin previously worked for Emanuel Medical Center for 12 years, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer.

Kevin is a past member of the Executive Committee of American Dairy Products Institute, the US Whey Protein Research Consortium, and the U.S. Dairy Export Council. Outside of the industry, he currently serves on the Business Advisory Board at California State University Stanislaus, the Board at Turlock Christian Schools, and New Hope Uganda Ministries. Kevin holds a business/economics degree from Westmont College and an MBA from CSU Stanislaus. Kevin and his wife, Emily, reside in Hilmar, California. They have one daughter and one son.
